I just clean a little bit everyday like on my lunchbreak and I find my house is always clean. Plus I keep convenient things around like the clorox wipes in the bathroom so I can wipe down the counter or toilet really quick in case someone stops by.

Over the years I have learned two most valuable peices of advice on house cleaning. #1 is make index cards for each day of the week and specify what you will do on those days, e.g. Monday vaccuum, Tues. Baths, Wed. Windows.....somthing like that. One load of laundry every morning. Then you have weekly tasks, and monthly Tasks. Also, never leave the room that you are cleaning. If there are things that need to go to another room, put them in a box to go out and take the box with you from room to room so you dont get side tracked with things that need to be done in another area.

Divide your home into as many days of the week as you have available to you. eg main bedroom & passage on Monday; Kitchen on Tuesday etc. Clean those areas from top to bottom thoroughly and only sprint through main living areas of house with a vacuum cleaner on that day. Keep whole house neat & tidy at all times. Make beds & do dishes & wipe kitchen & bathroom surfaces, taps each day. Stick to this & it is a breeze and not overwhelming.

I have a "maintenance" and a "special" cleaning routine. Maintenance for me is: weekly- bedsheet change, toilet cleaning, vacuuming, Daily- make beds, do dishes, wipe down sinks/counters. Then each day/every other day I pick a room to concentrate on.
I've heard from two different sources that the things that make your house appear "dirty" to other peopel is unmade beds and dishes in the sink/on the counter.

Make a list of everything you think you need to do. Leave room for more additions.
Break the listed items into groups of similar things that you can work thru together. Spread the list over the number of days you will work to accomplish the task.
GOOD LUCK
