Humanist,
Lebanon was and still is a soft target. With no proper weapons and parties two of which are funded by the OTHERS. It was an excellent excuse to demolish the country.
Sabra and Shatila will never be forgotten. The 5000+ people who were butchered by Christan militia and Jews using knives and other cold weapons will never be away from memory.
The price of 2 rotten Israelis is zero, but the price of that 2 year old kid who was cut pulled apart by two christian militia before the eyes of his grandfather is so high indeed.

Is there even a question here? If so I can't identify it. But Bush is not stupid or simple. Whoever believes he is stupid because he comes from Texas or talks with an accent needs to straighten themselves out. He's the President of the United States of America. So for god's sakes, give the man some respect!

What do you consider peace? If the whole world were forced to get along, is that what you are looking for?
peace, as a concept, is actually a rare occurrence. Tyranny pops up wherever opportunity and evil can delude people into false senses of security, in exchange for freedom.
Shedding blood is bad, but oppression and dwindling in wickedness is worse.

FYI George W. Bush got higher marks than the "nuanced" Jean Jacques Kerry at Yale.
Personally I find the simpler the better.

Someone from Lebanon attacked Israel in an internationally undisputed territory (even by the United Nations).
Israel has to defend itself!

Probably, but pretty much everything that comes from the mouths of politicians these days is simplistic and cynical.
