Someone is suing my company just for money and we need the 911 record for proof that we are innocent. We called the phone companies but they do not keep such records. The 911 call was made by us.

You will have to find out who the 911 call center is, and you can usually find out from the police department, they usually have the dispatchers. Then you will need a subpoena or request from information drawn up by your lawyer to obtain the tapes.

911 Call Records

If you have an attorney, he or she should be able to subpoena the call record from the 911 center that took the call. Some departments will release call records (usually a recording of the call) simply upon request; others require a subpoena. And the asker's absolutely right--911 calls are indeed proof. Just ask the dispatchers in Detroit who failed to send help when they assumed a little kid was playing with the phone when he called repeatedly to report his mother having been shot. Those dispatchers, and that department, are in a huge lawsuit right now.

the reason the phone companies do not kee those calls is because they are sent to 911 dispatch. 911 dispatch in your area is the entitty that records/handles emergecny calls. Sometimes they are part of the local government and sometimes they are a private company that has contracted with the city/county to provide such services. At any rate, if you are being sued your company has the right to use the subpoena power of the court to obtain such documents. If you are a company, I assume you have hired a lawyer? He/she would know how to do this...if they do not know how to do this or are unaware that you can do this, consider looking for a new attorney.

I'm going through a similar situation. Someone made a 911 call and said I was chasing and beating a pregnant woman down a street. The police came to and invaded my home. I was just getting out of bed. They said since I was the only one of my type in the area, they came to my house. I am in the process of getting the 911 tape or find out if a call was ever made.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOgRB

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

It's not the phone company but the 911 dispatcher that keeps the records (although if it's a small town they may not keep them). However, it would require a court order of some kind to get them.
