Wear protection so you won't get a girl pregnant and feel like you need to marry her for the childs sake. There is always the option to live together instead of marrying.

I think that it depends upon what you want out of your life and relationships. I never thought I would ever want to get married and then I met the right guy and we were together for 6 years before we decided to get married. The biggest reason we decided to do it was because we wanted to have a child and we wanted our child to have parents that were married. That was just a personal decision. So I don't think that there is a right or wrong answer. Get married don't get married it doesn't matter much and if the time ever arrises you'll know if marrige is right for you because I will get stuck in your head and you will be day dreaming about it and how your going to ask, what the wedding day will be like, what the honey moon will be like. We always joked that we got married for an excuse to take an awesome vaction to Hawaii.

There are never any guarentees in life. And everything that we do now a days is a risk. But you know what? Life isn't life if you don't take risks. Marriage should not be considered a risk factor. If you know deep in your heart that you want to stay with a woman for the rest of your life then go for it! I have been with the same man for 16 years and we do not plan on getting married. We don't need a peice of paper to tell us about love. On the other hand, my sister married her long time boyfriend after 9 years because it was cheaper on insurance!!!

sometimes it is wise to look behind culturally approved programming, and decide what is best for you, personally. and then be strong enough to withstand the inevitable criticism (or worse?). everyone is different, and has different. "needs". based on personal experience, and reflecting on that of friends, and vicariously on that of the 50% of formerly married folks, now divorced, it might be thoughtful to reflect on what your expectations regarding marriage are, and your "fantasies", before making the decision. it is always ok to stay single. some marry, for example to"avoid" being "lonely" . many can assure you that there is no lonelier setting than being in a "bad" marriage. the best marriages occur between emotionally independent/mature individuals who have first "done the work" needed to let go of all the immature/false ego based issues they have. i am "older" and have seen those couples "in action". it is quite a departure from the norm, i assure you. it is as though they belong to a "different species". which, in a sense, they do. good luck.

You might as well have the best of both worlds. Stay single for awhile, then get married later.

Do what you want. If you don't want to get married, then you probably shouldn't. It's okay to stay single as long as you're happy.

It's okay to stay single but let the women you're involved with know far in advance.

You don't have to get married unless you want to.
if you enjoy being single and prefer being single, go for it.

Of course you don't have to get married - loads of people don't and manage to have interesting, productive and not-the-slightest-bit-lonely lives.
You might be one of them, you might not - only you can say for sure.
But getting married for the sake of getting married has to be a bad idea.
