Absolutely!
But you know that America will veto it...
Really, America shouldn't be permitted to vote on anything concerning Israel, because America is just too damned INVOLVED! They sell / give Israel it's weapons, they encourage Israel to use similar tactics of invasion, terrorism & war to America's tactics ... basically America wants Muslims wiped off the face of the earth, and they don't think they can do the job alone so they get the Israeli's to help! Well, Israel is surrounded by Muslim countries - who didn't have any problems with Jews until America and Britain stole part of Palestine and 'gave' it away!!

Since then Israel has increased in size by stealing yet MORE Muslim-owned land. Only a fool would think that the Muslims have no reason to complain! And only a fool would fail to realise that America and Israel refuse to LISTEN to the complaints of Muslims - they just kick them, physically AND metaphorically. Would all the Israel supporters on here be placid and peaceful if THEIR home was stolen, leaving them with no place to live and no livelihood? If THEIR wife was murdered? If THEIR children were banned from going to school for being the wrong race / religion / social status?

Yes, but U.S. will not let that happen.

A military attack without regard for lives of civilians involved, is an atrocious act. As a member of the U.S. military, I was told to consider the civilian and collateral damage that such an action might bring. You can clearly see that Israel is disregarding this fundamental law of warfare.

It's clear that U.S. and its allies are violating many established "laws" in order to go on this crusade against terrorism. And U.S. really needs to reconsider its role as a peacekeeper or as an broker of peace in the middle east. How can U.S. support an act like this and also be crusading against terrorism?

A wikipedia entry describes "terrorism" as:

The term is often used pejoratively to assert that the violence against civilians is immoral, wanton, and unjustified, that the terrorist attacks are "indiscriminate", "targeting civilians", or executed "with disregard for human life".

So how is Isreal's terrorism any different than the Hizballah's terrorism? Just because these acts are carried on by bombs and tanks, it doesn't mean it's not an act of terror. No one is disputing that terrorism is wrong, but we cannot overlook any acts of terrorism by either side. Friend or foe, carrying out a military operation knowing that many numbers of civilians will get killed is plain wrong. This is a serious violation of the laws of warfare.

U.S. should take on the view of the rest of the world and seriously reconsider it's relationship Israel. We give them the financial support for their military and we are suppose to be an un-prejudiced broker of peace in the region?

Just exactly how much pull does Israel have on U.S. government?

Yes,it should. But as long as US has the right to veto any UN's resolution we will not see any sanctions on Israel...So they are free to do whatever they want as long as they know that US will not allowed anyone to sanction Israel...

Absolutely not. They are retaliating. Why doesn't anyone pass sanctions on the groups that are attacking them?

You should do a little research, maybe get a history lesson, before you ask such questions.
