A world war would have to involve more than just a few countries. All of Europe was also involved in both wars, and most of Asia, the Middle East, and Australia were also in WWII. We're only dealing with the U.S, Britain, and Iraq right now, and the Iraqi government isn't fighting us, so I don't think it qualifies. It's more like helping them stop a civil war.

I certainly believe 9/11 was the seed of the ideology of what seems to be World War 3. A cornocopia of religion and oil domination are the genuine attributes of this emminent battle.

I am pretty sure that 2000-4000 Americans have died, and many civilians dying as well in Iraq, with those civilians being killed mainly by those who oppose the American troops.
In world wars, people died by the tens of thousands in single days. We killed 135000 people when we firebombed Dresden. 50 some thousand when we bombed hiroshima and nagasaki in WWII. In world war 1, in the battle of the somme, over 60000 people died in just gunfire in one day, running at eachother through land between trenches climbing over the bodies of one another.
Nope. Not at all like this. This isn't even close to Vietnam. Chill the heck out.

conventional minds do not perceive islam as "the nation of islam", especially since there are no official geographical boundaries one can draw or point to on a map.
so far, extremists have bombed the u.s., great britain, spain, ... most notably of yet, india.
the world is at war against terrorism.
