I think they will.

As a Tiger fan I would like for them to win the Central....but I would be very excited if they took the wild card.

I have been saying that for a while now....that The Tigers take the wild card.

I know that The White Sox are just too good a team NOT to win the Central again.

Howvever, in this lovely little game of baseball, anything can happen.

All The Tigers have to do is play .500 ball the rest if the year and we win 96 games.

I think they will do better than that, and win 100.

It all boils down to the 13 remaining games they have against each other. And those 13 games will boil down to pitching.

This weekend will be a good sign as to what happens next.

The Tigers have 4 against KC (not an easy team to beat) and The White Sox play the yankees.

For the first time in my life (and yaks! I dont believe I am saying this!!!)

I am rooting for the yankees to win.

YES FOLKS! YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!

GEORGIE PORGIE IS ROOTING FOR THE YANKEES TO WIN ALL 3 GAMES THIS WEEKEND!

*alas, it is the end of the world*

I think they should. The White Sox have added a number one offense to almost the same pitching staff of last year. The rotation hasnt been performing even close to what theyre capable of and they are still only two games out. If some of their starters return to last years form they may win over 100 games easily. Not to mention the improvement of Bobby Jenks as the closer. Also, look for Kenny Williams to make a trade before the deadline is over.

because the pressure of winning important games in September will be too much for the talented but not experienced Tigers the answer is yes. Don't be surprised if the Twins catch the Tigers also.

Holy Crap Georgie didn't say something derogatory about the Yankees!!!!!

Unfortunately I think they will. The Tigers have not shown the ability to beat the Yankees or either Sox team. Plus, their pitching always goes south in the fall.

Maybe, but I think the Twins will catch the White Sox first.

They'll catch them. The two teams have 13 games left with each other, and Chicago is 5-1 vs. Detroit so far this year.

Interesting to see the Red Sux fan in glee. Just remember that the important series is in October, and the last time you faced the Good Guys in the playoffs, your asses got swept.

It'll be close...if the Tigers don't make any trades to get faster, the White Sox just may do it

Of course they will, The No mater how many other teams the tigers have dominated, we still own them so far. and there are plenty of games left to play, so that 2 game lead will disappear pretty fast.
