I am in Concord, but am looked in jail. There is a copy of The Latimer Journal and North Star on the floor, and I can see the keys on the peg but can not use them. I also have a washer in my backpack.

I can't find the rope, is it in the lab?

The rope is under the bed, not where you got the washer like the one person thinks. There's also a boot under the bed, but I don't know what it's used for.

You have to have the washer and the rope. I believe the rope is next to where you got the washer (outside of that little house). When you have those two, they will be put together and you can throw the washer onto the keys and retrieve them. The hardest part is the throwing. You have to push the mouse off to get the washer to fly. You can't just place the washer over the keys and drop. It has to be like a real throwing motion. It took me forever.

Use the washer and the string, then click on the keys. Once you're there you need to like "toss" the washer onto the rings. If you just click on the rings it won't work.
