In the early 1970s, my dad bought a used toy magic kit at a flea market in NE Ohio. One of the tricks involved a set of gold and silver colored metal rings linked together. A gold ring would be at the top and a silver ring would be at the bottom, with several gold and silver rings in-between. The trick was to swap the top and bottom rings 'magically'.
The secret was to grab the silver ring next to the top gold ring, It became the new top ring and the gold ring would appear to cascade down to the bottom. It wasn't much of a trick, but I lost the one I had and I've always wanted to find another one. I remember it was part of a children's magic set, and my guess would be mid-60s to early 70s vintage. I don't remember the other tricks, but they were probably standard kid's stuff. I'm mostly interested in the gold and silver chain trick.
