Go to a pet supply store like Pet Smart and you can find products made especially for animal urine in carpet. Use that type product. The best ones contain an enzyme that eats away at the proteins in the stain.
I find the best thing to use is a carpet cleaning machine. I apply the pet enzyme product, let it sit for a good 20 minutes, working on the odors, then I suck up all the liquid with the carpet shampooer. Let the area dry (put a fan there and let air blow on the wet rug). Next day, do this again. (if you don't own a shampooer, blot using a big bath towel or two).
Get rid of the peeing animals. They won't stop peeing. Once pets start using rugs, they do it forever. Or make them into outdoor pets. It takes a lot of time and effort to get rid of pee odor. Leave a little odor behind and the animal will pee there again.
I found using an enzyme product, doing all the above, and then using a special pet odor shampoo product in the carpet machine got rid of my problem area.
For cats, offer more litter boxes. For dogs, give them more time outside.

forget it! You might remove the stain from the carpet with some cleaner, but the urine has soaked its way through the carpet and onto the pad below it. If you remove the stain the smell of urine will remain. Best bet, get rid of the carpet and put down a different flooring.

The best way to remove dog/cat urine is scrub it out with a used bath towel or Febreeze out the stain and then beat down your dog and cat.If you have pet crates for the dog and for the cat,it's a very good idea to start putting them in those crates during the day when the two of you are away.

Try using Natures Miracle. The stuff is awesome. You can get it a PetsMart. You can use it on almost anything. I have 2 dogs and it works great. It doesn't stain and it takes the smell out.

Try white vinegar and baking soda mixed together. We had a cat that had accidents on the carpet when she got older. It does work. Also, try carpet deodorizer after the vinegar stuff dries and vacuum. Also, you might consider a dog crate for you dog during the day. or doggie day care.

you want to thoroughly wash the slab - means washer and then bleach it. My figure's neighbor had this difficulty even as they bought a house that had a zillion pets residing (and peeing) in it. They ripped the carpets out, and then means washed the starting up position, and they bleached it. that ultimately were given rid of the smell notwithstanding it replaced into so gross! good success.

Petsmart has some good products. The best I've found is in a white bottle called "Nature's Miracle".

Does someone need to walk the dog mid-day? (they can only hold it so long...) Try an enzyme cleaner...you can find several at the pet store...really the only way to really get the smell out.
