no, sorry: I know you feed them chicken feed. what is your chicken feed made of?! Like corn, or for horses, oats.

WHAT CHICKENS NEED (It's simple!)
1. Grains (whole, living grains are way better than cracked, and a mixture is way better than pure corn)
2. Greens (grass! weeds! fresh veggie parings from kitchen!)
3. Protein (in summer, they get enough bugs -- but in colder weather they need protein supplementation, including perhaps the following: yellow-jackets from restaurant traps, soybeans -- see below, worms, milk, meat --- but sea fish is the very best)

I live in the US and I feed my chickens Layeena, an all-vegetable blend, because I don't want meat products with possible Mad Cow being introduced to my layers. I'd use an organic feed with no chemicals if it was available around here.

When my parents raised chickens, we would get these huge 50lb bags of chicken feed at Agway (it's a hardware store that specializes in farmer supplies too).

I bought chicken food at the county fair and I also fed them mini tomato sandwhiches. And I gave them corn.
