Abnormal- different from normal. Subnormal- below normal.

SUBNORMAL, means, a bit below Normal, whereas ABNORMAL, denotes, an ABSENCE, of NORMALITY.

Abnormal = not normal, there is something wrong with it.
Subnormal = below normal, doesn't mean it is abnormal just means a lower degree in quality.

sub normal is less tahn normal. ab normal is not at all normal.
