it was parked in the garage and i was watching tv when it hapened. I thought it was the tornado syren. does anybody know what the hell to do?

You just have a short, common in all old vehicles. With the battery still unplugged, find the horn and unplug that from the car and try to trace up the wires with a volt meter until you find the short and replace the wires with new ones.

Sometimes the horn pads go bad. Or you could have a short in the wiring. You should take it to a shop and get it checked out.

Pull the wire off of the horn and then take it to a shop to have it checked out

How old is it? Sometimes the foam separating the metal plates in the horn button will deteriorate and allow the plates to touch. of course this depends on tne horn button design.

vinal covering on the stering wheel has shrunk and is depressing horn find fuse and pull it till you get it fixed
