Help! Has anyone suffered from painful fibroids, particularly in the kidney area? Failing that, has anyone experienced continuous pain in the kidney region that has been a problem to diagnose? I suffered an acute onset of pain in my kidneys nearly 4 months ago & it is still continual. Cut a very long story short, after various scans they found a large fibroid which they initially said could be causing my pain, but they're now saying it can't be in that area. I am in constant agony, have been off sick 2 months & all my tests are coming back negative. I'm very fed up!!

I have several large fibroids, some are very close to cutting off the tube that goes from the kidney to the bladder. My ob/gyn said if there comes a time when the uterer (not spelled correctly) is blocked or cut off by the fibroid there would be extreme pain. Have you had an ultrasound? Also have you visited a nephrologist (kidney specialist), this might be necessary.

Hi, I don't have fibroids, but do have endometriosis. I had several large nodules on my bladder and have also experienced crippling kidney pain, fainted a few times from it. I had a kidney function test which was clear, so they said that because my bladder is being damaged its not working efficiently which means the kidney is unable to function properly; hence the pain. Do you kknow the location of the fibroids? If they don't interfere with your bladder, then maybe look at other diagnosise, possibly endometriosis which can't be veiwed on a scan, but only through a minor surgical op. Keep on at your gp, and please only get ideas from boards like this, there are loads of people that talk very authoritavly about things but state incorrect information. Always check the info you receive elsewhere. Good luck

Could be a fibroid pressing on parts og your "water works". Ultra sound scans don't always show up all the fibroids you have.

Could be a kidney stone or lots of other things. You need to get this resolved soon, I hope your drs are helping you as much as they can as this is haveing a very negative effect on your life.

You didn't say how old you are - treatment will vary depending on your age and future aspirations.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/GCAxo
