Disney prices really aren't that bad for what you all get. I'd get them straight through Disney or your travel agent. This is really the safest way to go. If you buy from eBay or other online discounters you may get there and find out that the ticket was expired, has no days or was non-transferrable. So the money you save will only cause more headaches and you will end up spending more than if you bought them from Disney. Trust me, this happens a lot more than it should.

The tickets this year are very inexpensive and will lower in price if you buy the longer pass, it can average down to $30 a day for adults. I always think it is safest to go to the source. You never know what you are getting if you save money and you wouldn't want to buy them twice. If you don't want to go very long, but still want to save some money, add on no expiration. Then, you can buy the ten day ticket and make it so it doesn't expire. Next year or ten years from now you can use them when you go back.

You can also do a timeshare tour. They generally give free tickets for completing the tour. This will take a good bit of your day up. But if you really want to get the tickets cheap this would be a good way to go. Personally, I would rather pay for the tickets than do the tours but it is an option.

Hope this helps

I've been to Disney in FL about 6 times. I was always comped the tix so I can't help there but there are other ways to save.
Every time we went (my whole family..all 12 of us) we rented a house. A one week rental (10 days actually) was shared between myself, my brother and his wife, my sister et al. So..the individual whack wasn't bad at all. We then, upon arrival, sent out a team to load the house for bear with food and booze.
The house had a great view, a deck and a pool. The great thing about the house was this. It was like going home at the end of each mind and body blowing day. You could crash on the deck...drop into the pool, kick back and watch tv...whatever..all without lines, screaming kids..etc., etc. When you spend all day walking DL and then go back to a cramped motel room, have to go out to eat...and then have to fight for pool rights with some rude family from god knows where..it can get on you. We enjoyed the house so much we all even agreed to blow off Disney on the first Wed. (we were usually there from Sunday to Wed of the following week.) We'd spend that day hanging out..relaxing, planning the rest of the week. Doing some sight seeing. I'd really suggest looking in to it. It not only will save you money..it makes the trip sooooooooo much more enjoyable it's incredible.

I did forget to mention...you'll save so much with a house rental by not eating out all the time, not having to constantly be on your dime somewhere doing something. Face it...even to pull over and take a break some expense is usually incurred somehow. We didn't go to Disney Land 6 or 7 times cause we're loaded..we went because we wanted to and figured out ways to do it cheaply. Anywho...enjoy.
You'll save so much on everything else the price of the tickets don't even enter into it. I'm reading about all these brainstorms on buying tickets here and buying tickets there and the Tourism crap-o-la etc. Hell...I could GIVE you tickets and if you pay top dollar on everything else it won't mean diddly. Focus on the flights, the cars and the room and board and the tickets won't be a killer. We got tix three times from friends (my sister straightened me out when she read this- I thought it was everytime) She payed for them the other 3 times. Anyway..i could go on forever..said my piece. Have fun
A five day park hopper pass is 219 @ the gate and 179 in advance. For over 10 I think (age) If you can get better prices than the 179 you're at least beating Disneys.

triple A has some great member discounts

the best way to save money is to go in the off season. October through February, exept for the week around Christmas and New Years.

book your trip with a travel agent, or on line with Disney directly, and you can save money if you book well ahead of time too.

I strongly recommend you buy them directly from Disney World. Disney offers plenty of ticket options to choose from, sometimes they have good deals but for the most part it is quite expensive but always well worth it. If you plan on visiting most or all the Disney theme parks you might want to consider one of thier multi-park/mult-day passes (tons to choose from) with various options and features. *see thier website:

www.disneyworld.com

HOWEVER, if you only strictly plan on buying a one-day/one-park ticket then you could try the OFFICIAL Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau for some slightly discounted tickets. You can purchase directly in person from the official visitors bureau on International Drive or online; I also recommend you order a free Orlando vacation planning kit from thier official website:

www.orlandoinfo.com

Have Fun!

I remember this being talked about on a talk show once.

They said that in order to get more people to come to Disney World/Land (because visits were low) Disney was offering more travel discounts . So check their page every now and then and you might find one advertised.

Get them in Orlando and all you have to do is tour a timeshare resort. Like sometimes they have the 2 tickets for 1 special. You will find them pretty much anywhere you go in Orlando.
