It could have been a lot of animals. Cats, another rabbit, dogs, racoons, people, birds... You should really make your pets indoor rabbits. They can be litter box trained and if you nueter and spay then it will cut back on smell and aggression. Please, please look at these websites.

I see it as it may have been another rabbit. When rabbits fight they can get hold of the other rabbit with their teeth and they pull their hind legs up to their chin and stroke forward gutting at the other rabbit or predator. They can do some amazing damage with their rear claws. They also will jump at each other doing the same thing. Any kind of predator would have surely killed her. I have seen males tear the hide from each others belly before. Maybe a dominant male was trying to kill her or the babies.

My first guess would be someone's pet dog. They are really good about killing rabbits. There have been numbers of times that dogs have tried killing my rabbits. They would break the doors in, pull them out of pens, bite through the floors, bite their toes off, etc. Racoons would be my second guess followed by coyotes. Oppossums or skunks might. Owls, vultures, and chicken hawks can too.
In my state, it is against the law to let dogs run loose. I believe if the owner is not responsible enough to keep their dog penned up and it kills my rabbits, it is my right to shoot that dog (as long as it is on my property) to protect my rabbits. I've seen dogs do thousands of dollars of damage and wipe people's rabbit herds out. It's gruesome to see how vicious dogs can be. It simply gets to you when you see the fur ripped off of them or their toes bitten off, or their leg or head bitten off. The problem is that if you don't shoot them is that they will keep coming back again and again and often it is hard to find who the owner is to warn them to keep their dogs penned up. And often even if you do, the owner won't listen. I've seen dogs gnaw almost completely through a 2x4 stud to get to my rabbits. Many rabbit breeders can tell you horror stories about dogs that have gotten into their rabbits. The sad part is that rabbit breeders rarely ever see a penny back in compensation for the killed rabbits or damage to the cages. And if you do try to prosecute, the owner tries suing you for killing their dog if you shoot it or they say you can't prove it if you don't have the dead dog their with their owner's collar on it.
We've had to go to the extent of running fencing and electric cattle shock wire around our rabbit barns to keep the dogs out.

I do not know where you live-but here in new england, we have fischer cats and all kind of wild things running around-fischer cats could be dangerous to small animals (people too)
it could be possible as well that she got stuck, and tried to free herself, but if the vet has said that stress was the cause, i would guess it was an animal.
contact your locaL FISH AND GAME DEPARTMENT, and they could tell you what kind of wild animals are in your region.

could of been a fox, cat or a stray dog that got disturbed defor finishing the job.
you should not let rabbits run free unless the area is secure and all ways put them away at night. expicaly if she had babies as she would want to defend them and they would be at more risk which would cause a lot of stress
