The only way you could do this is if the CD/DVD drive is set up with Drive Letter Access (DLA in Roxio) or InCD (Nero). These allow a rewritable disk to be used a "hard drive".
It must be rewritable since the information in the installation directories will constantly be changing (listen history, updates, etc.)
IF this works, there will be a huge performance hit, as write times to removable media in this way is much slower than a hard drive.

BTW - you wil NOT get viruses from yahoo music. And if it's "your computer" then who is the "owner"?

Also, the answers above me are way off. When it asks you to save, you are simply saving the installation file. If you install to a regular CD, the program wont work because CD's are read only. The program can not be in a read only directory. And you are not talking about downloading music file to burn on CD, you are talking about installing a program to run on the computer.

Usually yahoo software does not allow you to save it as it uses a download manager.
Beyond that you could copy it to a disk but that will not make it run each time as that is a installation program. It is used to install it.So on your disc you will just have a installation disk and not the actual program that runs.
Copying software off the internet is usually done so people have a backup.

Yes, you can download it to a disc, when it asks where you want to save it, click on the pull down menu and then save to disc, then when you want to play it, just pop it in. Good luck

I think so. When it asks you if you want to run or save, click save. Then it should ask where you want to save to. If you have a CD or DVD burner, click on that. Make sure you have a blank CD or DVD in the drive first.
