you can't "get" them to understand. they will see that later on. what you could do is make it more exciting for them to learn like depending how old they are give them a certain amount of money for ever good grade ,etc.

Take them somewhere where they can see people who didn't finish up their schooling...show your kids the poor people in this country. You know, the ones who never finished high school, or maybe they did but did nothing else after that. Show them people who work the menial jobs most of us are all to happy not to have to do. Then, show them the wealthy successful people who worked hard to make their money and establish themselves. The people who went to college and earned degrees to prepare them for professional careers. After that, ask your kids who they'd most like to live like when they are grown up.

let them talk to someone who didnt go to school or dropped out and just have this person tell your kids about their everyday life. my mom had me when she was 18 didnt have the oppotunity to finish college until this past year when she went to a junior college to finally get her lvn (she plans to get her rn and eventually bs in nursing) but my life as a child and watching my mom struggle is what has ultimately drove me to want to go to school and further my education

when skool actually becomes fun.......i'm 13 and skool is almost like hell 2 us!!! the teachers r mean and dont care about us, the food sux, all we do is read silenty and hardly hav any fun exercises AND the work is wayyy too easy. there's no challenge in the work. wat's the point on going 2 skool if everything's so easy??

take them to a poor neighborhood and xplain to them how hard life can be if u dont get an education , i mean life is hard as it is but it could be harder without an education . They need to see it to believe it hopefully it would make an impression.

explain to them what a rotten life you have and how much better it would have been if you had gotten through high school?
