FYI, y'all, I am from the south... the south part of Indiana, that is!
And my middle name is Jo because of my grandpa, who was named Joe.

My sister is Pamela Jo. My mother named her for a popular black singer in the fifties, Ivory Jo Hunter.

I'm not a "Jo", but one girl that I used to work with was "Amanda Jo"; she preferred to be called "Jo". She is one of the sweetest girls I've ever worked with.
There's nothing wrong with it, and it IS a typical name of girls from southern or midwest states.
Be proud of it!
