manifold air pressure sensor better described as a vacuum sensor
it is important the computer uses it to help in metering fuel

check with part store for price most are easy to install your self you didn't give engulf details for more info

do you mea MAF (mass air flow) sensor...from a main dealer that are mega bucks..try and find one from a salvage yard..fitting is easy on most cars (usually just behind the air filter box)
