a tree is a living organism, so your question is a moot point

A tree would not exist if there were no living organisms. However, if it falls it would still create a sound, because the sound is caused be the vibrations in air. Not because of living organisms.

If there was a world without living organisms, there could be no trees because they are living organisms. Therefore the question is impossible.

people are making an assumption that this tree is a living thing. what this person is asking is referring to a "shoe tree": "A shoe tree is a device approximating the shape of a foot, and placed inside a shoe to preserve its shape, and thereby extend its life when it is not being worn. Using shoe trees can greatly preserve shoes and prevent them from creasing or shrinking. "

Imagine this (plastic) shoe tree falling down in a (plastic) forest ... okay.. here it comes.. PLOP... I guess it made a sound. Whoa.. here comes a huge asteroid... BOOM ... (huge crater). That shoe tree didn't last for very long. Umm.. see what happened.. no life.. no atmosphere.. rocks coming in from outer space didn't burn up... earth is one big target zone
