I listen to music. Something cheerful.
Other than that I try to find something to do. Granted, this is tough when bored because being bored usually implies the inability to find something interesting to do. But it's more complex then that, sometimes people are just down on themselves, sometimes they're unmotivated and therefore remain stagnant in their mental state.
Meeting up with a friend, even for a half an hour can usually cheer you up for hours after the fact.
Find and subsequently supporting a hobby is a means to alleviate this boredom.
Pretend to be a drummer with "air" drum sticks.

Now I'm procrastinating. I have a ton of work to do. When I'm bored I usually go for a walk, and in the worst cases I pig out on some junk food.

I keep an address book, stamps, and greeting cards nearby and send cards to my friends and family. It gives them a boost and me, too.
