Your Mother obviously loves you, and in her mind, she doesn't want you wearing those clothes to protect you. I know you may not like it, but after all, she is your Mother, and you do live in her house. Sometimes as a kid, rules are hard to understand, and follow. The truth is, most every parent wants the best for their kids, and by setting rules and restrictions, they are trying to show that. Unfortunately, as a young person, you sometimes don't fully understand the depth of the matter. You think of it as man, I can't do this, or that, and you find yourself wanting to rebel againts them.
I'm sure you may have heard, just wait, when you have kids of your own, you'll be saying the same things to them. Not what you want to hear, right? Well, it is somewhat of the truth... I know, I did all the same things, and now, I have a 16 yr. old, and a 12 yr. old. I am going through all of this with them.
Sit down, and talk, I said talk, not gripe, to your Mom. Be reasonable, come up with some compromises, and work with each other. Sometimes, you won't get what you want, but play your card right, and you will. On top of that, you and you Mom will have a better relationship as a result. No kid and parent should fight, bicker, and moan at, or to each other, after all she will always be your Mom, and you her child.

Listen to your mom. Believe it or not, the upcoming fall fashions are longer and looser. She's actually more "with-it" than you realize. Besides, why look like all the other trashy lil ho walkin' around the mall these days. I have never seen so many skanky little critters in my life! So some originality and fashion sense. Emulate a high class model, not a skank Paris Hilton.

You are looking to fit in with your mom and others in your life.
Personally, what you want is to be attractive and noticed. Being attractive doesn't need to be about being arousing. On the other hand you do need to fit in well. So wear Conservative things and give them a sexy touch of your own. But always remember that there is a time and place for everything. That'll tell you which to display more; Conservative or sexy.
And, don't forget that in life you have to know when to lead, when to follow and that you have to drop those who should be dropped for their weight may be too much for you.

your mom is doin u a favor. u wear short clothes all the boys gon think u is a h* and all they gon want u 4 is s.e.x. every1 else in ur class is doin it right?? so if every1 in ur class goes and jumps off the Eiffel Tower u gon follow the rest of the girls? if yeah u is just a follower u need to stand up and be leader. yeah ur young so act and be ur age cuz u wont be young 4ever u gon be out in the real world where u have more ppl to follow u better take a stand while ur in school

Don`t wear really short skirts because the guys in your class will be checking out you butt all day long.And just try to make an agreement with your mom about the short clothes.

i had a same situation when i was 17. now i am 20 and i understand that my mom did the right thing. knowing the world better i can say wearing shorts can't get u anywhere but in the arm of some abusive guy.

They're everywhere, and when your wearing skiimpy shiit like that, your a target. Wearing short things like that is like saying,"Hey come here and fuuck me so i can be cool." When you have a youngster to care for, you'll understand. I'm very proud of your mom not lettting you. She is a very good mom, because lately so many parents let their kids do stupid shiit. When you are probably 23 and look back you'll thank your mom for saving the bad memories on how sluutty you looked back then.

Your mom loves you and is concern about your safety. Yes it's the in thing and the hip thing. but the clothes doesn't make the person. Sometimes those clothes say your easy, so they draw the wrong type of guys. find your own style, stand out from the crowd. be unique and still be sweet.

It's okay, you're unique. I don't think wearing short shorts is all that great, you get majoy wedgies anyways. Convince your mom to let you wear something stylish like bermuda shorts or just get shorts that are longer then most but that suit you. There really is nothing great about wearing short shorts, don't feel bad.

why have to follow what other people do in wrong way? Mom knows better why she won't let you wear short clothes.
