We all know Bill Clinton is the best president since JFK.

Except for the dummys that voted Bush in the second time. (I dont think he was voted in the first time)

To bad he can't come back for a 3rd time.

Yes, but if you spoke to the cops, they would tell you that it only provided money for the initial period, and long before Bush came in, the federal funding ended, but the program required the hired cops stay on. This meant that to keep paying the new cops, they had to lay off more senior cops. Now the worst part, the cops hired under the Clinton plan were specifically for certain programs, not regular beat cops, so when all was said and done, you got more bureaucrats pushing papers on the force and fewer cops on the street.

Fewer cops on the street equals more crime which equals more criminals which equals more victims which equals more people run through the system ...

Just another example ... again ... of the real agenda of these people.

did you know that many of those officers were already on a force somewhere. The grant money was used to place officers in special programs and was used mostly on experienced officers who were taken off the streets. They were titulary replaced with new recuits who would have been hired anyway. And most of the moneys went to Federal Police agencies which took experienced local and state police officers off the streets causing local departments to spend more money on training new recuits. Where are the 50,000 new Border Patrol Clinton promised?

1. He didn't add the funding for them over time. So he paid to hire them, who's going to pay to keep them? If a local political entity can afford them, how did it help?

2. Can you show me where in the Constitution the federal government is authorized to pay for state, city, county and other local law enforcement salaries?

3. This was just another of the Democrat 'do something' laws that never produced the results it sought. 100,000 cops were never hired.

Yes, I'm sure his website is a great objective source for the greatness that is Bill Clinton. I'll rush right over there and make sacrifices to my computer screen.

Yeah...with federal funding for a limited period of time...I think it was 5 years. What happens when the funding runs out? Besides, Is it the job of the federal government to pay for local police forces? I don't think so.

I'll bet it says nothing about how much money his administration stole from your SS retirement! That's how he got his good numbers, stealing your SS retirement money, mine, and everyone elses too!
It doesn't say Korea used the missle tech he sold China, to launch the July 4th missles!
It doesn't tell you he snubbed renewable power, so did Gore!

Total BS. I worked for the police then and nothing came our way or any other departments way for 200 miles. Check again.
