The reason people don't believe is because the calculators we use to do math homework in middle school is several times more powerful than the computers used to send the Apollo missions to the moon. The astronauts did bring back proof, namely video and rocks/soil samples but some insist that these are all clever fakes. There will always be someone out there that doesn't want to believe, oh well.

It is hard to believe that after all these years of improving technology we cannot even duplicate what was done 37 years ago. A perfectly reasonable way of thinking, for someone who does not follow space much. The sad truth is that in the last 37 years, while computer technology has gotten thousands of times better, rocket technology has hardly improved at all. It is like cars, which are maybe 20% better than in 1969, but if cars had improved as much as computers we would all now be driving cars that get a 500 miles per gallon and cost $1,000. And people who want to believe in conspiracies will just say that when we go back to the Moon, someone will being along fake old flags and stuff to plant and continue the cover up. There is no convincing some people.

Remember this...those people who are writing books and putting together TV programs that try to elevate and authenticate their inane views are simply trying to make MONEY. That's the bottom line.
They know there are a LOT of gullible morons out there who WILL buy the books, CDs, DVDs, etc., and generate a nice little pile of cash for themselves. They're just "playing the game", and that is perfectly legal. What scares me is, if these morons are foolish enough to fall for the "moon-landing hoax" nonsense, what else can they convinced to believe without critical thought?
As for the arguments put forward as to why the moon landings were a 'hoax", well, you only need high school level physics to see right through it all. We definitely landed on the moon, and I was never so proud of "Buzz" Aldrin as when he hit one of these fruitcakes right in the mouth...decked him! on camera no less!

It is not hard to believe for reasonable people. The fact is, many people WANT to believe in mysteries and conspiracies. I dare say, most people know better. One need only do a brief search to find NUMOROUS websites debunking the ridiculous moon landing hoaxes now. Like most conspiracy theories, there will always be diehard "true believers" even though every assertion made by hoaxers is easily dismissed. Plenty of people want to believe and don't care to do a little research.

I've heard that it would have cost us more money to fake the moon landing than we actually spent getting there. There will always be people who believe that they're being lied to, though--if we went again and physically set them on the moon, they would still say it was a Hollywood set.

They don't believe that men landed on the moon, but insist that the Great Pyramids MUST have been built by alien beings.

People are always skeptical. It's like ANYTHING really. FAITH. Just because you didn't do it or see it first hand doesn't mean it didn't happen. I've seen no PROOF of many things, yet I believe them to be fact. People lack FAITH these days...in religion, in schools, in jobs, in economics. There is no FAITH, no trust, no morals...just idiots propagating the falsehoods. Kids idolizing people who say YO because they are too ignorant to say anything else....yet a kid can't pray in school....guess all the kids who couldn't pray in school will be alowed to pray when they get to prison.

Going to the moon is to this point in time completely POINTLESS. That is why people don't believe it. They feel that the completely responsible US government (cough cough) would not waste billions of taxpayer dollars on this nonsense.

It is human nature to not believe unless we are there and maybe touch it. Timithy, in the Bible, did not believe Jesus had risen from the grave until he put his fingers in the wound. So have FAITH!
