Depends on the situation...

If I had to lie to save a life, then conscious be damned, I'm saving it...

If I lied to make someone else's life better, but make another person's life miserable, I'd rather just tell the truth

But like I said, depends on the situation

Dishonest as in outright lie- I would like to think I would not do that but the one thing I have learned is never say never.

Dishonest as in not giving information that would only be harmful (ie. when g/f and b/f were broken up someone kissed someone else, etc). If no good can come from it I say keep it zipped.

Sometimes you have to look at what will be the greater good. If your only reason in being dishonest is to keep someone from being harmed, then I would possibly do it. I don't know what your situation is however and cannot give you the best answer without more details.

It's all relative - how dishonest would I have to be? How much would it help the person out? If it was only to give them "something good" as in some extra money or a fancy car, probably not.

I don't mind a minor white lie to complement someone but I would not do something dishonest that could cause me or anyone else to get in trouble.

Dishonest, how?

Avoiding the truth to help someone be happy in their ignorance? Yes.

Thievery? No.

Depends

I don't think it is possible for dishonesty to truly benefit anyone. I would search for an honest way to help the person have something good in life.

yes, but not if it hurt anyone else in the process. For example letting someone take credit for something i may have done, like finding a lost item.
