I work for a publishing company. Have been here 8 weeks and don't have a clue as to what I'm doing. So I too hang out online and answer dumb questions.

I believe that you are right there is several people like you and me that are at work with nothing to do. But, ask and answer questions. However if you are self employed and are here doing the same your business must not be doing to well.

Same here, I work for a Telecom company, I spend most of my day on-line surfing the internet, and I got addicted to silly questions, and asking retarded questions. Like what is your favoriite color of Milk?...hmm thats a good one...
