this is interesting. i've never thought about it before. hmmm... i think Bob will always be the heart of this show. they will probably replace him, but will lose viewers in the process. the new host would be forever compared to Bob, and probably not favorably.

Bob Barker IS "the price is right".. They will try to replace him because all TV networks are greedy bastards. They will fail.. just like all the other shows over the years.. How many people remember "the Dukes of Hazard" with Coy?? Bad memories... When will he die.. the headlines around the world will read "the price is wrong" lol

I really don't see how they will be able to successfully replace Bob. He's what makes the show. I don't currently watch the show, but it was a mainstay when I was a child. I have such fond memories of the show. I think I even had a small (itty-bitty) dream of being one of his "Beauties". That passed quickly as I grew up and heard stories of how hard he was on his "Beauties".

He died about twenty years ago, what you see is a hologram of Bob he recorded before his demise.

When you see the show live everyone is there except him and you can't stand in a certain area because it blocks him, they have a dummy the people hug and they impose his image over it in the editing room.

The show must go on, Bob Barker will live forever...well maybe not, but maybe Ryan Seacrest can do that show too?

The show will most definately die with him. It is funny how in his old age he is extremely blunt with what he says. It would take a new mini bob to replace him and I don't see that happening.
