NCAA regulations on the use of students to promote things for profit. We're considered amateur athletes, which means no money from sponsors for what you do.

NCAA Football, the game, has always had someone on it that couldn't be on the game, i.e. Palmer, Fitzgerald, Harrington, Desmond Howard last year, etc. Actually, they're all likely on the all-time teams at their schools.

If you want, there are sites that have the team mascots on the cover that you can print off.

Ncaa rules state that college players can't be endorsed; thats why on the Ncaa football games the players don't have there names, they just have numbers. Ncaa won't give ea sports a license to do that. Just like how no other label can produce a nfl football game instead of ea since they are the only ones with a license.

Ncaa Football games always do this. They have to put someone on the cover and since they cant use players that are currently in college they use one of the big names that has just left. The year before they used Larry Fitzgerald even though he was on the Cardinals. They get paid for it from Electronic Arts

Its smart advertising, why not use a hesiman winning running back that alot of people know, not too mention you can not make money and be an athelete in the NCAA at the same time, they've been doing this thing for years

I guess it's ok since he's no longer an NCAA athlete. What bugs me is that he should've stuck around for his senior year of college to finish his education.
