My Pastor told us that liberals hate everyone that dont support the atheist, tree hugging, movement of the left. Is this true, or is my Pastor "off base" with his remarks?

Cons have a way of taking their own traits and projecting them onto others. Its them who hate anyone that doesnt believe in Jesus as their lord and savior, think that everyone needs to hear about it 24/7, and that unless you blindly follow the doctrine of the Republican Party without question, than you hate America. Its absurd when you think about it..

Your pastor is "off base." A lot of liberals ARE Christians, so why would they hate you for being one?
I don't consider myself an athiest and I've never hugged a tree. These statements are intended to keep the division between libs and conservs as wide as possible. I often feel it's the other way around...that Christians hate me because I'm liberal.

Your pastor and some of the people answering this are completely off - base. This argument between Liberals and Conservatives is just silly. Doesn't this look like the beginnings of the hate that is between Shiites and Sunnis? We hate each other because we think differently. How long do you think it is going to take before conservatives start to kill liberals for being liberals and liberals killing conservatives for be conservatives. Come on people lets not be so closed minded.

Your Pastor is not a Christian is he? Derogatory comments are not Christian. Liberals do not hate Conservatives. Because we do believe in the separation of church and state doesn't mean WE are not Christians The fact that your Pastor feels the need to put anyone else down indicates to me that since Jesus said" Judge not lest ye be Judged" he gonna have a lot of "splainen to do Lucy!!!!!"

I'm Christian and have liberal views. And I will be voting Democrat this year. I don't hate you. Our Pastors have no right telling us that liberals hate everyone because it is a lie. No you have your answer and I an in the eyes of god I am not lying to you. I am Christian. You should find yourself a better church to attend. One where you own Pastor does not lie to you.

Your pastor is sadly mistaken. I'm a Liberal AND a Christian. It sounds like your pastor is trying to brainwash you in a sense to make you think that liberals are bad people who don't believe in God. It's so not true!

Sounds like your pastor is very judgemental. Would god approve of his judging? I dare say not. I'd be classified as a liberal if I lived in america, and an atheist one at that, but I don't hate you because you're christian, you're free to make your own decisions, as am I. Liberals and atheists are free thinkers who accept everyone for who they are.

I think that it is pretty radical of your Pastor to state that the Liberals hate you because of your Christianity. That is a very bold move. There are so many things that liberals advocate that don't agree with the Christian religion. People do not have to hate one another simply because their views differ. If you want a real example of that, refer to Al-Quaida vs. any religion that isn't an Islamic radical (i.e. Gihad).

He obviously touched on a subject of concern. It's probably true that some people are more political thinking for personal recognition than having love for the country and mankind. We've permitted our radical thinkers to infiltrate the legal system and really mess things up. I'm Christian as well so they dislike what I'm typing here too. If you mention one word, it strikes at the cord of some, morality. Gosh, I wish people would just read the documents our forefathers wrote.

I am a catholic right winger and your pastor was way off base. He was showing just as much intolerance as the left wing tree hugger. I would look for a new church.
