My mother let me wear makeup when I was your age, so I guess it depends on what the other girls at your school are doing.

Remember that a little goes a long way; don't wear colors that are too dark or you will just look like a clown. At your age, pastel colors (even glittery ones) will give you a fresh, pretty look.

You should wear makeup if you feel like it. But it's a statement, not a purpose to impress your friends. Make up is art, but sometimes it can reach the crowd that you didn't want it to in the first place. You need to learn technique.
But to be honest, the teachers and older crowd may look at you as someone you don't like. So think about the consequences.
My best answer, wait until your in high school then slowly apply makeup. Now in the fashion world actresses and singers wear a more natural look so go for that than the bright pinks and purples.

I started wearing a little bit of makeup when I was in 7'th grade.
Start out with the basics, especially since you are fairly young and most likely have great skin.
Get some mascara, blush, and a lipstick or lipgloss.
Stick to colors that enhance your youthful beauty.
Peachy-pinks will make you look more radiant.
Red's will make you look too old.
If you have any zits on your face
that need covered up,
just dab a little concealor on that area.
No need for foundation, powder, or eyeshadows right now.
Wait until high school for that!
Because when you wear too much too soon,
people might call you a slut or other bad names.

Maybe a little lip gloss. But wait till you are older. The more you use makeup the more you need makeup, at least that is what people told me when I was young. Let your natural beauty show. I am 21 and I only use makeup on special occassions.

I always feel that makeup should be worn the first time at the age of 14. because your skin will be changing, a lot while you are a pre-teen. a little mascara and a little lip gloss. wearing make-up to young will age the skin early. Keep your young look as long as you can. don't grow up to fast

Twelve is still a little young. A little bit of eyeshadow is okay. So is a little mascara. Don't wear eyeliner though. You are too young and it will bold your eyes and make them disproportional to the rest of your face. In the eyeshadow, stick with golds, greens, and light pinks to bring out your natural beauty. Also, check to make sure its okay by the rules at your school.

Maybe just lip gloss and a little powder, but in the 7th grade you don't need much. But make sure at the end of the night to wash your face so you don't get break outs from it.

It's not going to hurt anything if you wear a little eye make-up. Just don't wear really dark eye liner & eye shadow, stick with lighter shades.

i think you should only wear what you need. if you have shiny skin maybe just powder and mascara. eyeliner seems a little much for your age. i didnt even try it til i was in high school.

Do get an eyelash curler though. it will make a big difference. oh and lip gloss.
