I would never fault a man for not having one and it wouldn't make him less attractive to me.
I do find tattoos attractive on a man, but only if they have some sort of significance or meaning to the person who has it. In other words, I don't care for trendy or cartoony types of tattoos.

Depends on the tattoos and why he got them. I have 5 and they all mean something to me and they are all originals. If a guy has a bunch of tattoos that he got because he thought they were cool or just to fit in then no. If he has original works of art and each one has a story and/or feeling associated with it, then it can be very attractive.

Depends on the tattoo(s) and the amount of them. I don't really think tattoos on the face are attractive in general and I think that after a certain amount of the body is covered it starts to become overwhelming. Of course, these are just personal preferences every woman is different.

Depends on the tattoo. And the man. An idiot with a tattoo is not more attractive, even if its a really good tattoo.

That is a personal preference. I know that the location of a tattoo makes a difference. Facial tattoos are a definite put-off.
In general I think that they are perceived as cool. But then again the subject matter may turn some people off.

It all really depends on the girl, and what she likes. Personally, I love it when a guy has tattoos. I find them to be very attractive.

Everybody has tattoos now. Off the top of my head, I am not sure I even know anybody who doesn't have one. I guess I find "with" more attractive, because those "without" seem sort of prudish.
