I guess if you rephrase to just "Do you think a World War has begun?" then my answer is maybe it has.

The crisis in the Middle East is heavy and violent, and like always, if anything horrible happens, I'm sure the United States will jump in, guns blazing. This may tip off other Middle Eastern countries, and then more European may join in. China and Japan may try and intervene in that case, and we may see multiple nations assisting and causing destruction in a broad area that is literally a geographical section of the world.

I'm sure the people of World War II noticed when theirs began, and perhaps World War I as well, with the shot that rang across the world, but with Vietnam and other modern wars, we can't say for certain when the "go" button was pushed. We may already be in a World War and just don't know it yet. So, cherish what you're doing today, my dears, because we don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.

There will not be another 'conventional world war' like the first 2; technology and socio-cultural changes have modified the way war is viewed and conducted. Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan have shown that huge\blunt military force is no match for small, fractured, guerilla warfare. Also, natianalistic-imperialism does not exist on the level it did during those eras in history. The U.S. is the so-called LAST superpower; all other countries are concentrating on building wealth through global-economics rather than physical land-occupation.

What everyone should be concerned about is how Nations\Governments will react to the changing world. Governments want to protect themselves, not necessarily their citizens\public. With terrorism being blamed for so much of the world-wide strife, citizens are allowing- even pushing for laws that erode their rights and give their governments more power to control the populace. Wire-tapping, indefinite detention, promoting suspicion and distrust of your neighbors- this is where the real threat lies...

At any given point in time there are 50 to 100 conflicts in the world that are big enough to be called wars.

It's just that these days we have television and the internet to let us know what is happening, as it happens.

I think we're in for a bit more violence than usual over the next few years, but I'm hoping to doesn't build up to that.

This very last international conflict starts in the course of the tribulational time. The 7 three hundred and sixty 5 days peace treaty is signed after the Christians/believers are taken out off of the earth. There are 3 a million/2 years of "peace" and then the international chief alterations the guidelines and breaks the peace treaty. contained in the e book of Revelation, the awesome e book contained in the Holy Bible, it tells of 21 judgments by employing God. sure, i trust a number of those are already starting up, yet their complete intensity received't hit earth and the inhabitants of earth till the awesome 3 a million/2 years of tribulation, even as Russia and China descend to wipe out Israel. they're unable to finish that. God pours out his wrath on those who will conflict antagonistic to Israel and it's going to be similar yet moreso than the plagues upon Egypt written about in historic information and contained in the former testomony. international conflict III will end even as Christ returns and places an end to those who have not believed in Him.
