If you gave the ob/gyn the right information like your last period and some other info she/he should be able to give you the closest date to your delivery. However, later on in pregnancy as you near the end of your third trimester and based on your last ultrasound, the ob might give you a sign that your child will be born before or later than the initial due date. The factors for a different date could be the number of pregnancies (2nd and 3rd are almost always before estimated due date), or if your body is not ready (not dilated) you'll most likely be late, and some other factors that your doctor should be able to tell you. However, I guess your baby knows best and will come out when he or she feels ready. There also couple of trusted Web sites with useful info. Good Luck!
