who here hates telemarketers?

telemarketers are so annoying!!! and they know that! why do they keep on bothering people? sometimes, they even get too aggressive i am so tempted to hang up on them! (of course i do not). one lady in new jersey was actually threatened by a telemarketer -- they guy called her a B*tch and other stuff -- that's so F-ed up! sometimes i get telemarketers who look for my boss -- they call as if they know him too well, turns out they don't even know his name! when i'd tell them he's not around and would they like to leave a message? they F-ing hang up!

i agree with melissa M: i know they're annoying, but i guess it's in the job. i wish these companies would abolish this type of advertisement -- sometimes people are working and they are interrupted by these. why don't they (companies) advertise over the internet?

it is a stressful job, i don't think i'll ever be a telemarketer in my whole life.

I've done telemarketing. It sucks, bigtime. You're just trying to do your job and make some money so you can feed yourself and your family, and you've got to call people all day. It's not fun, and people are very rude. Instead of just saying "no, thank you" they get insulting, yell, swear and call names.

It's not the telemarketers themselves that are the problem, it's the people who employ them who tell them that they have to keep going, even if the person on the phone tells them no. I was told they have to say no 3 times before I could hang up. People would be so incredibly rude and insulting that I'd go home in tears. I was never rude to anyone. I tried to be professional and if the boss wasn't around, I'd hang up the first time they said no. It's a very stressful job, and I don't recommend it to anyone.

If you ask to speak to their supervisor as soon as you realize they are a telemarketer, you will probably never hear from that company again.

I hate them too. Especially the ones that want to send you so many magazine subscriptions for free and talk so fast you can't get a word in.

I dont like telemarketers, they are indeed annoying.

I used to receive a lot of phone calls regarding phone companies, they asked me if i make long distance calls, how much i used to pay, etc. At the beginning i used to give them information but now i just say i dont make long distance calls, and because they are selling long distance plans then wont bother me anymore.

I don't hate the people, after all, we all need to make money to pay the bills and buy food, and maybe there are few other employment options in certain areas. They can be a pain in the neck but I am always polite and just say NO Thank you. They have feelings too!!!!

WITH A PASSION !
I just look ay my caller ID. If it's a 800 #, I don't pick up.
But they go ahead and start talking anyway !!! Like someone is actually talking back to them ! Cracks me up every time !

Advice: Hang up on them first ! And if you have caller ID, for the ones that curse at anyone, get the number and report them.

i do i get calls from them four times a day all week ive taken my name off their list and a lot of times i just hang up. I hate the one who calls me a 8 at night trying to sell me the ab lounge. Exercise machine.

You: in a man-like voice) This is her

telemarketer:No, MISS._____

You: (in a man-like voice) Who the hell do you think you are!, treating me like that! (cuss him out!!!)
