It sounds like a nice life, probably somewhere in the tropics.

I try to be barefoot 24/7 year round as much as possible. I would be barefoot all the time if I could.
However, it gets cold where I live, so it is not always a good thing to be barefoot outside for long periods. My feet do not like ice much at all, and I can usually only stay outside in the snow for less than an hour.
In the winter, I walk outside in the snow as much as possible. I even drive my car and go to stores and such barefoot in the middle of winter. Air temperature is the biggest factor, I have found, such that I can walk in snow for much longer when the air temperature is above 0 degress Celsius (32 degrees F). Also, soft snow is easier on the feet than hard snow as hard snow can be rather abrasive.
A few times each winter I get lucky and will have time to take a long walk outside on a warm, sunny day when there is fresh snow. When the weather is just right, I can be outside in the snow for as much as two hours without any suffering any bad affects such as frostbite and bloody toes.
When outside in snow, it helps to keep your mind on other things or to be doing something while you are out there barefoot. For example, walking to the mailbox or walking the dog or even shoveling snow. I don't know why, but I particularly enjoy shoveling snow barefoot and, when the air temperature is right, also shirtless. Imagine how much fun and exhilaration it is to shovel snow wearing only a pair of shorts in the middle of winter.
BTW, mud and toes were made for each other :)

I am not 24/7 all year round. I like in Minnesota. The ground gets cold here. Very cold. I also like to go indoors sometimes, and shoes are generally required for that. During the spring, summer, and fall I go barefoot. I don't see a problem with it. Its just the fact that I don't believe in wearing shoes.

Some homeless are barefoot 24/7 I'm barefoot when I'm at home. Even if I go to pick the mail from the mail box I go barefoot, I go to my back yard barefoot, but I always used shoes when going to places. It's quite nasty to even think to go to a public restroom (for example) barefoot :-S

I saw a show on TV, I think it was Wife Swap, where the whole family never wore shoes so that they could toughen their feet and be more nature-like. I think they had to put shoes only when they wanted to go in a grocery store. But they drove to the airport barefoot and they stood on the asphalt and sidewalk barefoot too. It was weird.

I used to be in college, spent 3.5 years without shoes. It was great, my feet became very thick and calloused. To an extent my feet are still pretty tough, but now I do own a pair of shoes that I need for work. Otherwise, outside of work, I'm still a barefooter. :D

Its pretty unpractical because you would never get to go into a grocery store, restaurant, etc. However, I NEVER wear shoes in a house. Even when visiting.
