Does Cycling make men impotent? What effect does it have on women?

As an cyclist, I have noticed some temporary effects of cycling by sitting on the saddle for too long (too much pressure on the prostate?). I'm also interested to know if there is a similar "saddle sore" effect on women.

Hi, I was a profesional cyclist and don't think this. Cyclist are more potent than who ever. ok ? This is because of the vitamines that we take. Buy a good saddle and realy for women it's the same, with a good saddle you can do all the kilometers you want. I hope that I'll answered your question. Beyyyyy

I did read a medical article a few months ago, in the Times I think.
Some UK doctor said that there are only 2 types of male cyclists, those who are impotent, and those who will become impotent.

Sobering thoughts, but personally I would ignore that, you can't believe everything that you read.

Women only get saddle sore when on a tandem. Yes it is true your nuts can swell after too much cycling, I think thats a bonus!

no proven link between the two as far as im aware== although yes it does give u a sore behind-- until you get used to riding in that position, although i have read that some prolonged cyclists are at risk of damaging the penile tissue.
