Yes, Vancouver is located on the coast of B.C. on the mainland. Vancouver Island is located approximently 45 miles from Vancouver. You can take a ferry from the mainland to Sydney,B.C. ( located about 1/2 hour drive from Victoria) and arrive there in 1 1/2 hours. Victoria, the capital city of B.C. is located on the southern tip of Vancouver island. Both places are very beautiful, very clean and a great place to visit. Vancouver is the largest city on the west coast. Victoria is the largest city on Vancouver Island.

Yes there is. It's about an hour and a half ferry ride from Vancouver (a major metropolis on the mainland of B.C.) to Vancouver Island (a large island off the coast of B.C.)
It's something that often confuses visitors, especially during peak travel times, who think that when they book a flight to Vancouver, they are going to be on Vancouver Island, and sometimes it's hard to get a last minute flight from the mainland to the island during the summer season.
Why not come up and have a look? They're both great places to visit

Big difference - Vancouver is a huge city in BC. Vancouver Island is an island off the coast of of BC with numerous towns on the island. Don't let the Canadians know that you asked this question! ;) Oh, and there's also a Vancouver Washington, smaller city, across the river from Portland, OR.

Yes, one's a city on the Pacific and one's an island in the Pacific. I believe the island starts across the bay from the city and heads north about 100 miles. The capital of British Columbia province is Victoria, on Vancouver Island.
So is Nanaimo, home to the great Canadian treat, Nanaimo bars.

With its pile background and urban beaches, Vancouver gets the rightly acquired trustworthiness of being one of the very lovely towns on earth, with hotelbye you can have the chance to see this excellent city. One of the places you'll need to see in Vancouver is the Downtown Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver is wonderfully positioned on a peninsula in the Strait of Georgia bounded to the south by the delta of the Fraser River and to the north by way of a strong fiord achieving far inland. Here you can even see the often snow-covered ranges of the Coast Mountains. Stanley Park is one of the very most visited parks. Is a rich Peninsula Park of large woods surrounding to Downtown Vancouver. A smooth seawall path encircles the natural space, and many guests take some time to examine on foot or by bicycle. Inland, the park presents several things to accomplish, and readers can invest a full day discovering attractions ranging from the totem posts at Brockton Point to the west coast sea life at the Vancouver Aquarium. Spectacular views really are a standard throughout the park.
