England is a country IN Britain. Britain is four countrys; England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

No, it is not the same thing.

As has been pointed out by other correspondents, Britain is nation made up of the countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

I am English, but my nationality is British. And so is the nationality of the Scots, the Welsh and the northern Irish whether they like it or not.
