I am a germany fan.. But I think Italy play well..
And I think they deserve to be in the final.. and deserve to win.
But sadly the focus now is on how Materizza insulted Zidane..
I kind of feel that Materizza has disgrace the whole team effort.
And I'm totally disgusted by what he did to Zidane..

Both Materazzi and Zidane did wrong. I think they behaved like little kids in kindergarten rather than grown up men. Materazzi was an idiot for trash talking (although it's very common on the pitch) and Zidane was an idiot for headbutting him.
To answer your question, I don't think Materazzi disgraced the whole Italian team. They won the World Cup and Fabio Cannavaro, their captain, is an example for everybody. Every team has its black sheep. Zidane wasn't an angel either (behavior-wise), he had done that before. But I think Materazzi did disgrace the whole Italian nation to the eyes of some idiots who think all Italians are like him -- and there's way too many on Yahoo. Oh well, why bother, they are a bunch of idiots after all ;-)

No way! What Materizza did is nothing more than trash talk. It is done ALL THE TIME! Especially in huge competitions! If you can't take an insult when the pressure is on, you have NO business playing on the field. All Zidane had to do was walk off or say 'Screw you,' but instead he goes all crazy and head butts him. I will always look back on this team and be proud of them... then laugh at the stupid french... but I would laugh at the French anyways, whiners.

Materazzi scored the equalising goal so ummmmmmmmm in my opinion he is a hero to the team insults happen all the time especially in sports Zidane should grow up and learn to be a man ( i love Zidane ) did he head butt everyone who insulted him in school!!!

I watched carefully with my that part of your so called "Zidane", he is the one who started and continued to speak. Then we start to say that look zidane is not happy, he is saying something, then in no time at all, he show 1 billion of persons what he really is!!! Is Materizza a madman?Just to start to insult your "Zizou"? like this?for nothing?
if Zidane with his trademark of violence is never able to control himself, next time i wish he comes with a gun! He is guilty.
If he was insulted, he should insult also. Because we would not see nor hear their insults!
And after all, this is not the first time of your Zizou to be red cardded.

Maybe yes. Cos' ..personally he should not insult anyone around. Unless he can prove that he has done is jokingly ..meaning..not with the intention of trap to make Zidane out..

I think they both did wrong, but Materazzi didn't attack Zidane! He's not a disgrace to his team they won the World Cup!!

you're ALL right: nobody is interressed with what could passed front. people only see zidane's gesture : they are shocked because he is someone very nice and loved but they speak only about their chock about what the camera showed: the agitator is not punished but the defender is well punished: that always was like that and that is the injustice!!
