It's been 5 days now and it has still caused an uproar throughout the world. If it was any other match game (say 2nd round) would people have really cared?

Please do not yell at me for asking a Zidane question, I'm tired of the "what did he say" questions too.

it didnt prove how big the world cup it, the world already knows how big it is. the reason this is such a big deal is because he did it minutes before the game ended. it was the last game of his career and he could have helped france win during penalty kicks. its such a big thing because everyone wants to know what he was thinking

No they wouldn't have. This is shown by the fact that Louis Figo from Portugal also headbutted someone when Portuugal played the Netherlands.

He was given a yellow card. There was a small amount of talk about it after but then nothing.
