I've read so much conflicting information. I've read that bottled water can contain more trihalomethanes, than tap water. So why so many website on not driking tap water because of the trihalomethanes? I will ask my doctor, but wanted to get some opinions here too.

Holly: you are right. I do worry too much. I just want to do everything right. But I'm trying to put all my trust in God. I know he'll take care of me.

listen, many women before you ate brie cheese and even *gasp* smoked while pregnant with no problems. Water is not going to hurt your baby.. neither will tuna or eggs, or doritos.
beware of lucky charms, your baby will be a leprechaun

It really depends on the city you get the water from.
All tap water in North America must go through several stages before it's turned loose on the comminuty. Remember, the same people who work in the processing plant live in the community and drink that water too.
On the other hand, there's no regulation on bottled water. I've even seen labels on bottles saying that they're just filtered tap water taken from the municipality where the botteling plant is.
If you're worried, there are testing labs all over who test water for safety. Not government labs testing the municipal water supply, but labs that test samples from everyone else. Especially those of us who live in rural areas and who depend on a well for water. (We get our water tested every month) You can use one of these labs to test your tap water, then take the test to your OB/GYN and ask them if the levels on the test are safe for a pregnant woman.

Actually, it's a good idea (for all people) not to drink tap water unless it's filtered because it can cause calcium build up which can cause some pretty nasty kidney stones.
