I think you mean LSD. LSD when ingested causes the user to have colourful hallucigenic "visions" this is caused due to the interference caused by LSD with the visual cortexin the brain which processes sight signals.

uh you're thinking LSD. it's an halucinogen that short circuts parts of the brain. it's fat soluble which means you can have flashbacks years down the road. the brain has receptors for all sorts of things and one is halucinogens and once docked it has fun with the chemical cascade which results in halucinations
