how can u ask such a question??u know how it works here in india!!! india can never qualify for the world cup. even if the players have the potential (which they right now dont), the management, infrastructure, funds, all come in the way!! lets see if bob houghton can do something.

no way in hell..I'm an Indian but seriously did u see the scores in the Asian cup?? we played against two teams and u know what the score was all those games?? 0, none, no goals!!! India vs. Yemen (0-3) and India vs. Japan (0-6). if we are soo bad compared against other Asian teams we have no CHANCE to get into the FIFA WC!!!!

Until soccer/football becomes the major sport in India, it is unlikely.

Until then, Cricket is king, I don't know if they have a Cricket World Cup, but if they do, I wouldn't be surprised if they have qualified for it from time to time.

India cannot qualify for the next world cup. there are better teams than india in asia.

India will need a lot if improving to make it, but playing in the Asia region, they could do it as not many teams are really that good.
