I know there is a scientific actual fact answer -- I just can't remember what the time frame is. Can someone be serious and honest with an answer? Thanks in advance.

I remember the rule of threes -- 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food.

Last I checked, I believe it was you could last 3 weeks to 2 months (I'm sorry I can't pinpoint a better timeframe) without food, though it also depends on the person's weight. The more weight and fat a person has on their body, the longer they can survive without a consistent food supply.

I think it depends on the person's weight. I know your body starts to feed on its own fat for energy, but I don't know the exact number of days. I know a 200 pound person would probably out live a 95 pound person just because there body has more stored energy.

I was reading about water only fasting yesterday and they were talking fasts that last up to 40 days. I think it would depend on the person and your overall health and weight prior to the fast. They also said that any fast over 3 days should be medically supervised. I hope this was helpful.

I heard it goes in threes. We can live three minutes without air, three days without water, and three weeks without food.
