My opinion - and please don't go investing based on my opinion - is that 3M is very undervalued. The massive drop recently was based on short term earnings. The company has a 100 year history of innovation, and my guess is that longer term they'll be ok.

I frequently receive emails touting undervalued stocks - usually priced under $1.00 Would you like those?

Undervalued RELATIVE TO WHAT? Earnings, dividends, earnings growth potential, book value, something else?

Dell: it's close to its 5-year low, try to get it for 21.60 tomorrow.

edit: Wow, turns out 3M is very attractively priced; very stable company with strong performance history. Dividends don't hurt either. Looks like this week's drop is an overreaction.
