It's Naive spelled backwards... You'd have to be naive to pay money for bottled water.

almost everyone seems to know it's a spring... but you have to admit it's not as funny. :)

It is the name of the town in France were the water is bottled which just happens to be naive spelled backwards but that was by chance not by design.

Because "Evian" spells "naive" backwards and they thought they were being clever by selling "spring" water to all the suckers.
