None of these countries are big enough to instigate conflict on a global scale. It would take breakdown between some of the larger powers. China. Japan. UK. USA.
Now, if Kim gets it in his head to bomb Japan, we will definately see some problems. It's very probable that some of these internal conflicts could stagger outside their bounderies. 9/11 qualifies as an example of that sort of thing. But full scale global war? So many people in positions of power stand to lose so much in that scenerio. One would think this would lead to more careful consideration.

Hey, fact is that there are no more conflicts in the world now than there have ever been. Its just that now, with the information technology we have, we hear about them more. It is true that technology tends to expand these conflicts geographically, BUT, it also brings more moderate players into the mix.
So to answer your question. No, we are not, currently in very much danger of another world war. This is just business as usual.

I feel that we are on the verge of another world war. It seems that the world did not learn from the past. It seems that the world will never be at peace. With each country in competition for resources and power war seems to be inevitable. The question is not if, but when? (or is it?) And when WW3 happens, it might be the deadliest yet. Nuclear Annihilation will happen. But there may still be hope...

I personally believe that it's just a matter of time before we have World War 3 and when we do have it will be disastrous.

As long as muslim extremists are around and radical dictators are allowed to remain in power who knows, its certainly not out of the question.
