Red blood cells last about 120 days. They are taken out of the blood by the liver and turned into a substance called bile. Bile is used to help digest fat in the body and gives our solid waste material its brown color.

Your red blood cells will last about 120 days. After that, they are sent to the spleen for destruction/recycling. Your bone marrow constantly creates new RBCs at an incredible rate through a process called erythropoesis. This is the reason that blood often has to be given to cancer patients on chemotherapy - the chemo destroys all fast growing cells.

No, they don't.
"...Over time, the red blood cells get worn out and eventually die. The average life cycle of a red blood cell is 120 days. Your bones are continually producing new blood cells, replenishing your supply. The blood itself, however, is re-circulated throughout your body, not being remade all of the time."

Nope. Our red blood cells only have a life span of 3 to 4 months. When they are worn out, they are destroyed in the spleen and the liver. Of course, red blood cells are constantly produced by our bone marrow, unless, you have diseases of bone marrow and leukaemia..
