To begin with this would be a violation of the other boy's free will which is, in essence, rape. Then there's the point that whatever your friend does will be reflected back to him. Voodoo is dark magic, so this reflection would almost certainly be harmful to both parties. The Wiccans call it the threefold law, because they believe that anything you do is reflected back at you with three times the strength. This sort of magic is one of the few things that I would say is actually evil. It is not wise to pursue it. On another note if your friend doesn't know any other gay men he could be feeling very lonely. I'm gay too, and being surrounded by heterosexuals can be very embittering and belittling. Many of them can make homophobic remarks without even realizing what they're saying. I would suggest helping your friend find a local gay support group, so that he can meet other men like him. Also, ask him how he would feel if a girl used a voodoo love spell on him. I know that I would find that rather terrifying.

that is the magick of voodoo...you wouldn't know. you might suspect which makes people like those who answered here think you are paranoid. you would only truly know if the person who performed the ritual told you they did it or perhaps you might some remnant of the ritual on your door step like a pile of black dirt spread across your door way. unless you are told or find evidence you will not know.
do you suspect you know someone who performs voodoo rituals and might have a reason to act against you? if you believe this has happened to you need to
1. either believe whole heartedly that they can no harm you
or
2. do a counter ritual.

Ask yourself if you really believe in voodoo, and if you don't, great. If you do, you're paranoid.

If you are worried that there is one on you, then you may be right. Use whatever your faith offers as a shield against it. It wouldn't hurt to protect yourself if you are wrong.
